The ŠOUPostaja KAŠ office in Ajdovščina is a registration point for Slovenia’s subsidised student meals scheme (SŠP). Here you can register for the first time or again, and get help using your meal subsidies.
how do I get meal subsidies?
First-time or repeat registration
Complete the online registration form, then bring your application number and documents to an SŠP registration point in person.
Already using meal subsidies?
If your student status is confirmed for the 2026/27 academic year, your entitlement is normally renewed automatically. You do not need to visit a registration point.
first-time registration
1. Complete the online form
On the official Student Meals website, choose Enroll here. Save the application number shown after submission or sent to you by email.
2. Prepare your documents
Bring your application number, a photo ID, a student ID or proof of enrolment for the current academic year, and your mobile phone. International students also need a Slovenian EMŠO identification number.
3. Visit an SŠP point
Visit ŠOUPostaja KAŠ in person at Cesta IV. prekomorske 61a, Ajdovščina (MKC Pale). Staff will confirm your registration and activate your entitlement.
If you use your phone number for identification, make sure caller ID is enabled. You can choose a contactless card instead; the fee is €15.

Renewal
If you’re already registered and your student status is confirmed for 2026/27, your entitlement is normally renewed automatically. If it hasn’t renewed, choose “check status” in your personal account or contact an SŠP point.
At a restaurant
Find a participating provider in the restaurant list. To claim a subsidy, use the app, call 1808 (080 1808 for T-2 and HoT Mobil), or use your contactless card. Pay the remaining price of the meal.
How many subsidies?
You can use two subsidies per day, at least four hours apart. Each month you receive as many subsidies as there are days in that month; unused subsidies from the previous two months carry over.
Once your registration is confirmed, you can use your online account and the app. If you provided an email address, you will receive access details by email.
